Barn Swallow

Barn Swallow3Here’s another expert birding tip brought to you by birdsofthebog.com: Barn Swallows live in barns, simple as that; if you want to see them up close, find a barn. They are extremely accommodating too, entering and leaving the barn, and perching, with little regard for human presence or even a massive barking pile of chocolate lab. This particular group of swallows are a little bit snobbish, refusing to use an open window as an entryway, instead demanding that the caretakers of their barn leave the doors open! Hopefully we’ll be shooting nests full of babies very soon.
