It has been six months, 14 days and three hours since I’ve seen a warbler but they are back! The bog was crawling with them this morning; yellow-rumps, pines, palms, blackpolls, kinglets. Even my Rufous-sided Towhee and Scarlet Tanager are back! I felt like a kid in a candy store, a massive, freezing cold candy store! It was 32 degrees out there but I didn’t care, six months is a long dang time to go without my favorite feathered little friends. Here are some Yellow-rumped Warblers from this morning.
