One of my nemesis birds is the Brown Creeper, a tiny little creature barely bigger than a hummingbird. Constantly in motion, creeping up the sides of trees, they always seem to know when to duck into the shadows. I’ve never been able to get a shot off until now. I was walking away from that extremely cooperative bluebird on Sunday when I noticed a couple creepers; up the side of one tree and then over to the base of the next. I waited as they thoroughly inspected several trees and made their way toward me. Look at the beak on that little dude!
A short while later I spotted these Tree Swallows way out on the bog; the pose was too perfect to pass up, I just wish they were a little bit closer. Such graceful fliers, they even look the part sitting still.
