Lonely oriole

Baltimore Orioles have been difficult for me to photograph. This particular bird is always perched high in the top of his favorite tree overlooking the bog, singing his beautiful, lonely song. Perhaps he just seems lonely to me due to the fact that I always see him up there, all alone, calling out to a mate who seemingly doesn’t exist. That was my belief until moments after capturing this photo when his girlfriend flew by and he took off after her! What do I know anyway? And here I was feeling sorry for him.
